I was watching a major international sporting event on television recently and a conversation between three commentators caught my attention and got me thinking.

The commentators were talking about a current player that has had massive success in the last twelve months. The commentators were quite surprised that this player was having great success considering his technique has many obvious flaws. They felt his technique was very different to champion players of the past and not the sort of technique that you would encourage children learning the sport to use.

One commentator summed up the conversation by saying: "this man is a classic example that you must do what works for you."

I heard that line and I wanted to stand up and clap.

Don't listen to people who tell you what to do. Listen to people who encourage you to do what you know in your heart is right.

What way will work for you? Figure it out and then start doing it.
