Kate and Sally walk into John's Burger Shop and they look at the menu board above the front counter.
They both like the look of the "John's special burger".
The "John's special burger" has meat, cheese, onions, lettuce, beetroot and tomato.
Kate approaches the counter and says: "I would like the John's special burger but I don't want cheese and tomato on it".
Sally approaches the counter and says: "I would like the John's special burger but I want it with meat, cheese, onions and tomato".
Kate and Sally have a different approach to ordering a burger.
Kate said what she doesn't want on the burger and Sally said what she does want on the burger.
Unhappy people are like Kate because they focus on what they don't want in life.
Happy people are like Sally because they focus on what they do want in life.
An unhappy person will say: "I don't want to be overweight".
A happy person will say: "I want to be toned and athletic".
What do you focus on in your life?
Focus on what you want and your life will improve.

A husband tells his wife he wants a divorce...
A mother finds out her teenage daughter has been killed in a car accident....
A woman is fired from her job....
A thirty year old man is diagnosed with cancer...
Unexpected traumatic events can happen. One moment your life is going smoothly and then all of a sudden your world is rocked.
When life instantly goes from calm to chaos it is like being a surfer in peaceful waters that is viciously attacked by a shark without warning.
The important question is: what do you do when something brutal and unexpected happens in your life?
My answer is: act like Mick Fanning.
Mick Fanning is an Australian surfer that survived a shark attack during a surfing contest in South Africa yesterday. Fanning kicked and punched the shark during the attack causing it to swim away. The fact that Mick Fanning is still alive is amazing.
Surviving a traumatic event requires bravery and courage.
If you show a fighting spirit like Mick Fanning then you will also overcome an extremely difficult moment.

Many years ago I was faced with a choice. Stay comfortable in a job that wasn't challenging, or go for it and start a business based on my passion. Fear said stay comfortable and courage said go for it.
I struggled with this choice and then one night I went to bed and had a dream that told me what to do.
In this dream I was on the tenth floor of an apartment building that was on fire. I stood on the balcony trying to avoid the powerful flames. The fire got stronger and it started charging towards me. I moved to the edge of the balcony and I jumped off before the fire consumed me. My body was about to slam into the ground and then I woke up.
I got out of bed knowing it was time for me to take a leap of faith and start a life coaching business.
I jumped towards something that excites me. Will you?
