A story about Jack and Bill......

Jack opens his letterbox and finds two letters. One letter is a speeding fine and the other is a donation request from the National breast cancer foundation. Jack opens both letters and turns to his friend and says:

"I was only going 15km/h over the speed limit and now I have to pay $250. What a disgrace! This makes me so angry. I should write a letter to the government and complain about this. I feel like punching a hole in a wall. I have bills piling up and now I have to deal with this! I feel like the world is against me! This has ruined my day!"

Jack then takes a quick look at the donation request from the National breast cancer foundation and throws it in the bin.

"Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it" - Charles R. Swindoll

Bill opens his letterbox and finds two letters. One letter is a speeding fine and the other is a donation request from the National breast cancer foundation. Bill opens both letters and turns to his friend and says:

"Breast cancer is such a horrible disease. I hope a cure is found soon. When my auntie died of breast cancer 5 years ago it changed the way I looked at life. It made me realise how lucky I am and that you must appreciate what you have. That experience made me a much more positive person."

Bill then looks at the speeding fine and realises he needs to pay closer attention to the speed limit when he drives. Bill then goes to his computer, gets online and makes two payments. He pays the speeding fine and he also makes a small donation to the National breast cancer foundation.

Jack and Bill received the same letters. Jack sees problems. Bill sees blessings.
